As building pathologists who's primary focus is defect consultants, building archaeology and conservation engineering, with strong roles in sustainable development, defect consultants, building archaeology and project management, we prefer to analyse all our samples of mould, fungi, dry rot, wet rot and other damaging building condtions inhouse. Parts of the Consurv team have been involved with the European Environmental Dry Rot Research Association, whose aim of research is to totally eradicate the unnecessary use of chemicals in the domestic and commercial environment and to help retain as much of the original fabric of buildings as possible.
