A Roof survey was completed and problems encountered in this building included a dangerous ingress of water due to failed valleys and lead-work on the roof. The building had been wired using the old cotton wire system, which posed a serious fire risk.
This project is to be phased over a 5-year period with costs in the region of 5 million Euros. Funding was sought for the above project for and on behalf of the client and a detailed critical path of work to the building has been provided by Consurv Ltd, This building is now on the World Heritage list. It was as a direct result of Consurv's inspections and Consultation that the owners of the building were able to save 1,000's of euros and retain an architecturally important building.
