Moisture test can give an early indication

Household mould isn’t limited to bathrooms, attics and basements, although it is often found there; it can grow in any room of the house, in a store, in crawl spaces, inside walls, under carpets, and inside duct-work. We’ll tell you all about mould removal, but we’ll also tell you about what causes mould, such as poor ventilation in a bathroom, leaky roofs or windows, and flooding. A simple moisture test can be the first step.  It’s important to figure out what leads to a mould problem initially and correcting the problem in the right way, otherwise, you may spend time and money cleaning up mould only to quickly find yourself back in the same situation. Health and Mould Exposure

The health risks of mould exposure are well-known and documented by both the Medical and the Environmental Protections Agency. Toxic mould symptoms include things like a runny nose, coughing, wheezing, itchy or irritated eyes, rashes or hives, headache, sore throat, difficulty breathing, and shortness of breath. Exposure to mould increases the frequency and severity of asthma attacks in people with the condition and even increases the risk of asthma-related death.
