The Consurv team were involved with the full restoration and conservation of all the buildings on University College Cork’s campus. The main roles undertaken by Consurv were to act as Conservation Consultants giving advice for and changing the methodologies of the work to better suit the various structures of UCC. The primary goal of this project was the re-roofing of the various buildings around the campus.
For UCC’s Restoration and Conservation project, Dr Brennan and the Consurv team were able to provide a range of services that aimed to support and develop a high quality, sustainable contemporary design. The team were able to provide detailed conservation surveys, assessments and appraisals at every stage of the project. They were also able to implement new methodologies for the restoration structures. There were a number of projects on site including the Aula Maxima; Finance Office; and a re-roofing project. Consurv were also involved in several auxiliary houses surrounding the UCC complex and the team had changed the methodology on how those works were carried out.
Consurv LTD were also able to provide supporting documentation for the conservation of structures under the Department of Environment, Heritage and the Local Government National Conservation Grant schemes and other similar conservation schemes.
