Slane Castle
Slane Castle hosts many high profile events, from its famous Summer Concerts with a capacity of 80,000 people, to intimate events inside the Castle. With the backdrop of the River Boyne and the surrounding parkland of the Estate, it is the perfect venue to accommodate a wide range of events in unique surroundings.
St Patrick College
St Patrick's College was established in 1875 to meet the teacher training needs of a denominational primary school system. The College was initially based at numbers 1 & 2 Drumcondra Road, moving to its present site at Belvedere House in 1883. During the Presidency of Fr. Peter Byrne CM, in the 1880s and 1890s, an extensive building programme was undertaken which, along with a second major phase of development completed in 1966 during the Presidency of Dr Donal Cregan CM and a third completed in 1982, still forms the core of the campus.
Castle Leslie
Sammy's desire was to restore the Castle in the style and manner it was built to enable guest entertainment on a grand scale. But she started small, establishing tea rooms in the old conservatory thereby creating income to restore the roof. Between 1995 and 1997, Sammy refurbished fourteen of the Castle bedrooms and bathrooms, each in its own unique style, in an effort to maintain the individuality and uniqueness of the property.
Farnham Estate
In 1961, dry rot was discovered within the Farnham house and in an attempt to alleviate it, the oldest part of the house looking across the parkland, and the additions made to the house in 1839, were demolished. The contemporary hotel and leisure development at Farnham Estate Cavan marks a new phase in the evolution of its aesthetically pleasing landscape. Thus the indelible mark made by the Maxwell family Lords Farnham on the landscape of Farnham will continue to be appreciated by future generations.
